Yo, Chode ol' chum, and all. on this important thread.

Problem with this year's Japanese Grand Prix with red flags due to grass fires.

F1 should have fun with this and introduce each red flag with clips from the original Godzilla movie.

"Them weird Japs. I guess that’s better than the way they were back in the late 30’s - mid 40’s when they were trying to take over the World."

They took to heart the QC teachings of W. Edwards Deming.

Deming went to Japan after the war to help conduct a census. While there he also taught them a trick or two about quality control.

Pity the Americans didn't listen to him as ernestly as the Japanese did.

Rebuilding Japan With the Help of 2 Americans

Those two Americans were Douglas MacArthur and Edwards Deming.

Mad Max to Lando Norris:

“I’m very happy with what I’m doing right now, but I could think what would happen if I would be in that other car.

“You wouldn’t see me anymore.”

That’s just ... brutal.

This shows once again how these cars SUCK in turbulent air. Commentators on Sky were constantly remarking how the McLarens BOTH were faster than Max’s Red Bull, but Max continually denied them access to clean air.

None of which would have been possible without NotVerstoppenfornothing driving a qualifying lap for the ages.

"i can’t imagine trying to eat 🐌Escargot🐌"

Many's the time I've wondered who was the first lunatic to look at a Maine lobster and think, "Yum, doesn't that look tasty?!?"

Actually, I've not eaten escargot since the last time I was in Paris. I can take 'em or leave 'em but lobster I would kill for. Or the equally unappetizing-looking Dungeness crab.

Paris through the centuries has been through so many sieges, famines and plagues that somewhere along the way, the Parisians, notorious 'foodies' that they are, developed a taste for ... horse.

No, I'm not kidding. It's still common in butcher's shops but only the odd brasserie serves it now. But if you eat a gyros from a street vendor in Paris today (or elsewhere in France for that matter), it probably will be made from horse meat.

Yes, I've eaten gyros in Paris.
It was delicious.
But I didn't know it was horse when I ate it.

But I'll make a point of having another ... if I ever go back.
