if anyone has HBO Max ( I am still on the black friday deal) The Pitt is getting good reviews. Similiar to ER but they are getting sued and said it is not a ER sequel.
if your library has Hoopla you can watch Call The Midwife on Hoopla. I think Netflix has it. Interesting drama bringing up issues in the past like the Thalidomide babies. They do have a downs syndrome character.

I'm really enjoying The Pitt. I was a big fan of ER, at least the first 4-5 seasons or so. I love the way it's paced where each episode is a single hour of a 15 hour shift (and basically the worst single shift in emergency room history). It moves so fast I think I binged the first four episodes without blinking!
I do roll my eyes at the occasional wokeness (to be expected. All the episodes were written and filmed before the Great Vibe Shift) but even ER had it's share of lefty wokeism.
Just for fun, I went back to watch the series premier of ER (also now on Max) just to see how much has changed over the past 30 years and, my God, Noah Wylie was a kid! I had forgotten that Dr. Carter was a student resident in the beginning of ER.
Awesome series. I recommend binge watching it.
We’ve watched every episode but its so intense, that the 7 day wait is brutal. Only 1 episode to go.
