One of the big problems on Del Playa street “ocean overlooking apartments” is that the bluffs that the houses are built on, are slowly being worn away. Some of those big houses are gonna fall into the sea.
Long time ago, whoever manages that coastline nixed the idea of building sea walls. Let nature take it’s course..they say.
They are also letting the school lagoon fill up with earth. Choking out the birds and the aquatic life in it. Let nature take it’s course. Soon it will be a wetland, then a swamp.
The same people are probably managing the forest and public lands in California. Probably why they let the forests burn in California, instead of clearing the land, and building fire breaks and roads. The state geography is slowly being let go.
If a tsunami hits Isla vista , UCSB and Isla Vista will disappear.
