I suspect he would because that was the question he asked me originally. If I was hunting with a bow or gun.
Which I have not done in 40 years.
The major change is that you can now hunt with a crossbow during archery season.

The thing is that there are more deer in southern NH now than there has been in the previous 50 years according to North Woods Law(NH Fish & Game). So much so that they keep extending the days where you can harvest either sex deer.
Plus granting additional tags to people who want to harvest more than one deer per season.

The deer population is especially large in the SE corner of the state abutting MA and the Atlantic Ocean. This is because in most of these towns housing has been developed the most in the state. However, in many of these towns houses are on 1-3 acre lots. So, there is a lot of land/woods in between the houses. Yet, they are too close to hunt with a firearm. Where you need to be 300’ from any residence not your own.

Case in point I had a herd of 15 deer walk through my front yard about a month ago when there was still 2’ of snow pack.

I have an insane neighbor that has shot the deer with a firearm in a very close together .5 acre lot neighborhood. The deer love his exotic plants. The lib doesn’t mind shooting deer and wasting tons of water on his garden but refuses to to trim his dead trees. They can’t be reasoned with plant deer friendly bushes all over your yard.
