I make a half gallon about every 4 days all year round. We have super clean water but it has no flavor.
Heh, as opposed to us, who, when we’ve not had heavy rains for a while, have very good tasting water, but, with particulates that have to be filtered out (mostly looks like tiny plant fibers), and, after a heavy rain, all bets are off for a few days. (Shallow well - the water literally gets muddy / slightly brownish in appearance after heavy rains.) We go through filters way too fast - $$.
