Heh, as opposed to us, who, when we’ve not had heavy rains for a while, have very good tasting water, but, with particulates that have to be filtered out (mostly looks like tiny plant fibers), and, after a heavy rain, all bets are off for a few days. (Shallow well - the water literally gets muddy / slightly brownish in appearance after heavy rains.) We go through filters way too fast - $$.

Our well is very deep 160 feet I think. We do have a salt softener system on it and a particulate filter before it goes there that gets changed once a month. For drinking we have two Amway under the counter water filter units. Filters last about two years and it lets you know when to change it. They are just filtering out the sodium from the treated water. Works great for us.
