Around The Homestead, this time of year is PHONEY Spring: High temps in the 70's one week, six inches of snow and below freezing the next and anybody plants outside before the middle of May is wasting seed/plants.
....and Grandma, who grew up way up in NE Montana, will recall her HS graduation in two feet of snow and doesn't plant garden until Memorial Day....or later if she doesn't get the right vibrations.
Me? I just run the shovel whenever/wherever Grandma tells me to go.
(Spend working days gettin' bossed by the livestock and "free" time bossed by Grandma. Snort.)
