I cannot think having dire wolves is necessarily a good thing. And then there is this:

“For the record, the claim is false. The company manipulated some genes in gray wolves to mimic dire wolf traits and gestated the puppies in a domestic dog. No actual dire wolf DNA was utilized at any point in the creation of these animals. The creatures they produced are just GMO’d gray wolves.”

So, if this animal is w/o the dire wolf DNA being present in every gene of its body and if it is unable to reproduce, this claim is bogus.

Humans did nothing to cause this species to become extinct. Why should we bring it “back?”

Yes - guess it would be difficult to find and utilize DNA from species 1000 years + extinct

I have got to keep reminding myself that things stated as truth, MAY NOT BE. And Images I see MAY NOT be accurate or true. I hate this.

Oh, and I don't think they should be meddlin' in nature as they do. The Hubris we have is appalling.
