They have canned him now, but I was thinking more along the lines that they had more leverage while he was employed by the FBI. The last 4 years and the Obama years had, of course, no regular oversight because they were all active participants in the conspiracy.

For a Real ID, women need to show certified documents of all their name changes (of any) between birth certificate name and current name.
That ID is required to board a plane and go into federal buildings.
IIRC in the instructions for getting a Texas Real ID drivers license it says that if the current name differs from the name on the birth certificate, they need to get certified documents showing all the changes from birth certificate name to current name.
(But whoever keeps walking through my yard only has Dandelions on his soles!)
'Leverage'? The past 17 years there has been no 'leverage control' in favor of ethics and legality in the DoJ or the IC. Auten obtained a search warrant of Mar-a-Lago with a 'shoot to kill' clause. What would have been the consequence if Donald Trump had been shot and killed? An uproar but NO consequences.
