It would make sense. Because a deadly virus is most deadly at the beginning before it mutates into less deadly variants.
I can buy that the Chinese would take the worst hit from Covid if it emanated in China and because so many cities there are polluted, putting lungs at risk even on good day without a virus going around. What I can’t buy is that so many more Chinese would die from Covid compared to people elsewhere.
I think the Chinese government was afraid of their excess population in terms of resources and mounting commercial and real estate debt problems. They would know from cell phone usage who was likely to join in a Tiananmen Square type thing based on what people were texting to each other, website they looked at, etc.
I wouldn’t put is past the Chinese to blast the homes of these people with some sort of toxic gas or radioactive something or other that causes Covid-like symptoms.
BTW, welecome to FR.
The question IF the virus really did kill so many more Chinese then “why” leads to many fascinating and troubling possibilities.:
1. Was the virus tailor made to target the genetic predisposition of Chinese? Was it foreign based then, an enemy? Some country or force that released it on China?
2. Could the Wuhan labs have been using gain of function techniques but with mice genetically modified with CHINESE genes thus UNWITTINGLY making a virus designed to kill Chinese then it escaped from a laboratory in Wuhan? How tragically ironic!!!
3. Could the Chinese strict lockdowns have created the die off? Shutting people up etc.
4. Could the Chinese vaccines have been flawed somehow and enhanced the disease in those who took it? (they used their own vaccines)
5. Could the people be dying from the vaccines alone and the virus? Thus confusing statisticians.
Etc.
PS
I will remind everyone that if these claims are true the virus is something like 400 TIMES more virulent/lethal to the Chinese than Americans. Too high IMO to be a random event.
