In fairness to Harry (who I’m not particularly fond of, but) bringing a camera to raise awareness of the charity doesn’t seem like a dark move. I mean, that’s what charities usually want, isn’t it? More publicity, more coverage, raise awareness...? Not sure what the problem was. Even the owner of the venue... this would have brought him more business. Why be a jerk about it? This is strange.

“this needed consent from the property owners, the sponsors and all of the guests as “nobody signed up to being on a Netflix show”
I would be incensed at being co-opted into an unadvertised Netflix “experience”.
The charity’s representative was behaving honorably in seeking consent. Consent was withheld by means of raising the cost to use the property. Harry’s move was tone deaf, high handed & as always self-centered

The venue seems to give a discount for charity events and it’s half a dime to a nickle where the better profit would have come from. They wanted short term profit. Their choice but it’s also a decision about precedent for other “charitable” events.

As for bringing a camera, the head of the charity didn’t object to Netflix being there, but to not being informed in advance that Meghan and her friend were coming and to Meghan suddenly micromanaging an event she wasn’t supposed to be at. She’s said she would have welcomed Meghan etc if she had been allowed to plan in advance.

Agreed on “not particularly fond of.” I’m more like “disgusted” by the pair.

They had to change venues. The camera crew was probably for Harry and Megain personal gain since it was for his Netflix show. It would also require consents, releases, NDA’s etc from all who appeared on film. You know Harry probably isn’t going to pay them😄

I don’t know if you have been following these two - Meghan and Hairy - but Meghan fancies herself as Diana reincarnated - she is practically shunned from the Royal Family as she is classless and evil. Harry has a reputation as an alleged abuser and they are both only doing what makes them look good as opposed to actually doing good.

Netflix is paying Meghan and Harry $100 Million to produce content.
They are trying to use charity appearances to create content.
Guarantee Meghan would have been the focus.
Not the charity.
And yes…for profit to Meghan.
