Maybe…something like this….
The question is, who benefits from this fracturing? Who gains from brother turning against brother, sister against sister, child against parent, friend against friend?
The nation is split 50/50. It’s not like Trump or Biden won by a landslide. Fracturing doesn’t tip the scales either way.
There are forces who really want us at each other’s throats. I’m not talking necessarily about some shadow “globalist” order or something like that. I’m not taking necessarily about Russia.
But the only way to take down our family - nay, our country, is through division.
And frankly, our family is too important for us to be separated because of whoever it is behind the curtain. Let us return to each other - we can leave politics out since what is more important is each other.
I appreciate your thoughtful perspective on these issues. I just am not optimistic that we will achieve any meeting of the minds soon, maybe never. The divide (as I interpret it from their posts and comments) is vast, and they don’t plan to grant any mercy or consideration. I knew we were not all in agreement on political issues, but I never anticipated the vitriol and hostility I have been seeing.
