Second, remember is it live or Memorex? Social media bluster often is Memorex. I’ve seen one friend basically go off the rails in a lefty way on social media, but in-person they’re still cordial. This friend is in a very left-wing industry and I suspect the social media blather is to stay in good graces professionally.

Thank you. I actually do think it is LIVE, not Memorex. We have had a few, newsy emails that are not political, but there is this overshadowing expression of anger (feelings toward all GOP supporters, thus ME), that hangs in the air.
I keep praying the person will tire of spending so much emotional energy blaming “our side” for everything wrong in the world, but nothing so far would indicate a reduction in hostility.
