It is noon in Washington on Saturday, January 20, 2029. Inauguration Day. A bearded man steps forward in front of the US Capitol and raises his right hand, placing his left on the Bible.
'I, James David Vance, do solemnly swear...'

DJT has no plans for another run at the White House. His long term plans most likely gravitate to the Golf Course, his children, and his grandchildren.
But I still contend it would be good to keep beating the drums to make the Democrats & RINOs eat themselves in a panic.
I am so tried of the left trying to cause trouble with crap like this.
He could become a cabinet member, senator, or house of rep...maybe speaker of house, (but ineligible for Prez)...or a commissioner of some commerce related post...
Or if the Congress gets to allow a 3rd term presidency for Donald Trump only...by passing a one time law ..
I’d love to see JD Vance become President.
You’re right and I agree that Vance wouldn’t agree to the swap because if it was publicized in advance, it ups the chance that Republicans would lose out totally. Even though he’s young, he’s clearly ambitious. And his skill set makes him a good possibility for the future.
NO ONE has Trump’s drive and personality. So, no, I don’t see things staying at the same level that Trump will bring it. But the fact that Vance is trained under Trump will give him more of a chance of being a good president than any random Republican MAGA.
That's the problem, they are willing to do whatever it takes to defeat us. we are not, I am not suggesting to use violence as they are willing to do, but to drive them to their limit as they try to do with us.
Here’s a thought. Trump and Vance announce their intention to do exactly what the article proposes. After the left/media go apoplectic, Trump announces a compromise. If Congress passes a Congressional term limits amendment then he’ll retire. Otherwise, it’s game on.
The more I think about it, the more serious I am about it and the more it makes sense. Trump is all about using every bit of leverage he has. What better leverage than to threaten a 3rd term in order to extract major concessions from the left
The original text of the Constitution in Article II already specified that the Presidential electors could not vote for two persons who were both inhabitants of their state.
2037 sounds good. Will Barron be old enough to take over by then?
It's a funny idea, not least because it will probably cause some more libbie meltdowns, breakdowns, and self-violence.
Supposedly ( though it has been violated...Obama! ) no person can serve as VEEP, who can NOT serve as president, should the need arise.
Since Trump can NOT be president, as someone else's VEEP, if that person resigns or is killed, he can NOT be elected someone else's VEEP!
EXACTLY SO!
More like Rice and Jarrett, etc.
Not if he isn’t first elected as a state Rep!
BS!
WHY?
His mother was NOT an American citizen when he was born!
The ONLY Trump child, eligible to run is Tiffany and she won't ever run.
>>”But the 12th Amendment says the requirements for VP are the same as those for president. So you are not eligible for the presidency, you are not eligible for the vice presidency.”
Actually the wording is a little different than that, and as is often the case with legal language, what may appear to the casual observer to be a meaningless distinction may actually represent a substantive difference in meaning. The relevant passage of the 12th Amendment reads:
“But no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States.”
One could make a reasonable argument that the wording of the 22nd Amendment wouldn’t make Trump ineligible for the Vice Presidency because it doesn’t make him ineligible for the Presidency. It merely makes him ineligible to be ELECTED to the Presidency. In other words, he could ascend to the Presidency as long as it was through a legal method other than direct election to that office.
In Theory, Trump wouldn’t even have to run for the Vice-Presidency. He could be elected Speaker of the House and then have both the President and Vice President step down.
it has been referred to the dept of imaginary concerns

Actually, I've seen it before on this forum that absolutely anyone can be elected as Speaker of the House!
