Thus, to conceal their befuddlement, they explain their inaction by a vague demand that we address the “root causes” of every issue – which further justifies them in doing nothing.

How long before tariffs replace the income tax? The gutting has to be done first to keep the tariffs low as well as the National Sales Tax that will follow. Poor people will have to pay those consumption taxes but they’ll have skin in the(gutting) game. There will be plenty of room for income subsidies once there’s proof in households that a member is working full time.
There’s also a grievance system out there regarding the races. No money-just in lawsuits. Very profitable.
The USA had reached a tipping point.
Biden was a vegetable and figurehead, placed over a vast, seemingly immutable woke deep-state bureaucracy, making war everywhere and running $trillions in deficits yearly - for the purpose of ever-increasing political-crony looting of the country.
It was never going to last - it was either going to crash badly, or someone would come along and force change. It appears that someone is Trump.
