True. Some of those will go by the wayside as lgbtq+ issues disappear from the military

What the heck is the VA doing with 80K jobs to cut?!?

I could see a few regional centers that specialize in veteran injuries, but really the private sector could handle that.

Our federal government was never intended to be in the business of healthcare.

Before you can rebuild, you must first remove the damage, the wreckage

We owe it to our Vets.

I think there are 40 large VA hospitals that are built next to university medical schools. The cooperation between the two allows for the VA to get excellent Dr’s and continued training.

It also allows medical residents in training to be used at a lower treatment cost while providing Dr’s training in the special needs of veterans. They are very closely supervised and the care is excellent.

And that couldn’t/wouldn’t happen without federal ownership? I don’t buy it. Also, lots and lots of stories about substandard VA care.

I’d like to cut the entire government to zero and start from scratch.

If the spending is justified, then make them justify it - like we all have to do in the private sector.

In the private sector, we have to undergo DOGE-like audits at least annually, and we have to be accountable AT ALL TIMES.

The fundemental problem with our government is that for nearly 100 years we have allowed them to print money backed by absolutely nothing. Our dollars are nothing but IOUs with nothing held as collateral. Pure insanity.

F&@k FDR and everyone who voted for him.
