But given the sometimes decrepit state of Chinese industry, you really wonder will this plane actually WORK. Especially given the numerous problems that plagued the Chengdu J-20 fighter.

Some are claiming the Chinese are a few to several years ahead of the US in developing the sixth generation aircraft. Consequently, there will be some years where China will dominate and intimidate all of Asia because no other air force can match them.

That seems to be a pretty big airplane to me.
I tend to think small, stealthy, cheap and plentiful is the way forward.
There still is a place for manned airplanes, but drones will dominate the battlefields.
