President Donald Trump said late Sunday that negotiators in Washington and Moscow have begun discussing the division of assets between Russia and Ukraine in an effort to bring to an end the three-year-long war between the two countries.
The president told reporters aboard Air Force One that he plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday and that the conversation would discuss "dividing up certain assets," including land and power plants.
“I think we have a lot of it already discussed by both sides — Ukraine and Russia,” Trump said. “We want to see if we can bring that war to an end. Maybe we can, maybe we can’t, but I think we have a very good chance.”

Russia wants its provinces back, China wants Taiwan. America gets nothing? We should take half Antarctica for immediate resource extraction. Who is going to stop us. Caesar never said-“ Rome is big enough, we’re good. Let’s give someone else a chance .”
Odessa gone. Kiev, gone. Zelensky, gone!!

No nonsense. Just the facts.
Putin’s botched invasion ends by Easter.
Turning a war into a divorce... well... okay, whatever works.
President Trump will get his Easter ceasefire.
America should demand to get America back. And get our damn nose out of everyone else’s business. America was not created to be an imperialistic nation. We have America. Trump promised to MAGA. Not to steal a bunch of others countries and their stuff. Let’s get North Carolina and California and let’s stop shoving deadly vaccines (fake) into young infants as our current CDC under Trump is still strongly recommending. Clean up America, take our troops home, stop the never ending wars, let Israel be Israel and wish it well without our troops or money.
“You can wish in one hand and sh*t in the other” LOL!!
Since Putin is keeping large parts of Ukraine, it’s a liberation, not an invasion.
Lol! Putin is still trying to conquer the village of Chasiv Yar. And he blew up his best general Prigozhin!

WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. President Donald Trump will speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday as efforts continue to end to the war in Ukraine, a move that could represent a possible pivot point in the conflict and an opportunity for Trump to continue reorienting American foreign policy.
Trump disclosed the upcoming conversation to reporters while flying from Florida to Washington on Air Force One on Sunday evening, while the Kremlin confirmed Putin’s participation on Monday morning.
“We will see if we have something to announce maybe by Tuesday. I will be speaking to President Putin on Tuesday,” Trump said. “A lot of work’s been done over the weekend. We want to see if we can bring that war to an end.”

Hopefully President Trump will bring a document of Security Assurances for Putin to sign... of course the concern being with Putin that is no guarantee:
1. RADIATION AND NUCLEAR SAFETY
Russia must immediately withdraw all its militants from the territory of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. The station must be immediately transferred to the control of the International Atomic Energy Agency and Ukrainian personnel. The normal connection of the station to the power grid must be restored immediately so that nothing threatens the stability of the reactors.
The same goes for the crazy threats of nuclear weapons that Russian officials resort to. There are and cannot be any excuses for nuclear blackmail.
2. FOOD SECURITY
Ukraine can export 45 million tonnes of food this year. And let a significant part of it be directed to those who suffer the most.
Each country can join with a specific contribution and become a co-creator of the victory over hunger and the food crisis.
3. ENERGY SECURITY
About 40% of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure was destroyed by strikes of Russian missiles and Iranian drones used by the occupiers.
4. PRISONERS and DEPORTEES
Thousands of UKRAINIANS – military and civilians – are in the Russian captivity being subjected to torture.
In addition, 11,000 children know by name were forcibly deported to Russia. They are separated from their parents in full knowledge that they have families.
Additionally, hundreds of thousands of deported adults and political prisoners are held in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territory as well as in Crimea.
All these people must be released.
5. UNITED NATIONS CHARTER AND UKRAINE’S TERRITORIAL INTEGRITY
The validity of international law must be restored without any compromises with the aggressor. The UN Charter cannot be applied partially, selectively or at will.
Russia must reaffirm the territorial integrity of Ukraine within the framework of the relevant resolutions of the UN General Assembly and the applicable international legally binding documents. This should not be up to negotiations.
6. RUSSIAN TROOPS AND HOSTILITIES
Russia must withdraw all troops and armed formations from the territory of Ukraine. Control over all sections of Ukraine’s border with Russia must be restored. This will result in a real and complete cessation of hostilities.
7. JUSTICE
The world should endorse the Special Tribunal regarding the crime of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine and create of an international mechanism to compensate for all damages caused by this war. Compensation at the expense of Russian assets because as the aggressor must be held responsible to do everything to restore the justice it violated.
8. IMMEDIATE PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Millions of hectares of forest were burned by shelling. Almost 200,000ha of Ukraine land is contaminated with unexploded mines and shells.
Many countries are already helping with de-mining. However, there is an urgent need for increased number of equipment and experts for these operations. Funds and technologies are also needed for the restoration of water treatment facilities.
9. PREVENTION OF ESCALATION
Ukraine is not a member of any alliances. Russia was able to start this war precisely because Ukraine remained in the grey zone – between the Euro-Atlantic world and the Russian imperialism.
An international conference should be held to finalize key elements of the post-war security architecture in the Euro-Atlantic space which include guarantees for Ukraine. The main outcome of the conference would be the signing of the Kyiv Security Compact.
10. CONFIRMATION OF THE END OF THE WAR
A document confirming the end of the war should be signed when all the anti-war measures are implemented and security and justice begin to be restored. States ready to take the lead in this or that decision can become parties to the arrangement.
Europe has lots of eggs. Cheap.
I wonder how that happened. Maybe the socialist US screwed up, being socialist and all?
Hush, foreigner.
looks like The Putin won.
I don’t think so. As long as you guys can’t make shit, you will have to listen to the likes of me (and I am very retired) - or my old pals at, say Siemens.
Siemens Energy is addressing the national shortage of power transformers across the U.S. by investing $150 million to expand operations in Charlotte, North Carolina, creating almost 600 local jobs.
Today, only 20% of U.S. large power transformer demand is met by domestic supply with lead times of up to five years. Power transformers provide the link between generation and distribution and are a crucial part of any electricity distribution network where they convert high-voltage electricity into lower voltages. Custom built and around the size of a standard school bus, power transformers are essential components in any grid expansion. They enable the reliable transmission of electricity over long distances and help stabilize electrical transmission across regions.
