Well here is the reality of that. If you implement anything that even requires one extra mouse click it will immediately be unpopular because it is “too much work”. Well, leave it insecure then so that no one has to make that one extra click with the mouse. At some point common sense priorities have to be made...

However, the priority on security is usually relative to the need. Unlike a banking or shopping site, then unless CC card #'s are on FR servers, then what would a hacker normally obtain by taking over a FR account, aside from posting under such? Aside from an email, I forget what info I had to provide to first get an acct. here.

I absolutely agree. This site is not important enough to the outside world to need lifelock to secure it. Who by the way were hacked themselves...

I was not the one calling for stricter security. I think it is fine the way it is and the users need to take precautions of their own... Unfortunately there are folks here who are not quite sure how to do that.

It is very anonymous the way it is. This is one of the most important things to keep in mind when you have a site. Protecting the users anonymity should always be priority one.
