The Slush Fund Nobody Voted For
American Thinker ^ | 15 Mar, 2025 | Charlton Allen

Washington is an empire of unaccountable money. The real power in this town isn’t in campaign speeches or election-night victories—it’s in the quiet flow of taxpayer dollars into the right hands, far from public view. And while Americans were struggling with inflation, border chaos, and a volatile global stage, the Biden administration quietly orchestrated one of the most audacious financial maneuvers in modern history: a $20 billion green-energy slush fund, funneled to handpicked left-wing nonprofits with no meaningful oversight.

As first uncovered by RealClearInvestigations, the Biden administration’s EPA delivered billions in taxpayer dollars to a select group of left-wing nonprofits, bypassing Congress, financial oversight, and public scrutiny. The RCI reporting helped trigger a wave of scrutiny, prompting the Trump administration to investigate how these funds were offloaded with virtually no accountability.

Officially, the money came from the Environmental Protection Agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund—but in practice, it was a political end-run around Congress. Billions in public money were placed in the hands of activists with deep ties to the Democrat power structure.

Now, the Trump administration is fighting to unwind it.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has launched an aggressive investigation into how these billions were distributed, why they were shielded from standard financial accountability, and whether federal laws were broken. But the resistance has commenced in earnest.

The Green Giveaway: Biden’s Parting Gift to the Left

The numbers are astonishing. The Biden EPA awarded $27 billion under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF)—but the real story is where the money landed.

Um, no.

This was just cliche’ (hand caught in the cookie jar).

The magnitude of the scam is beyond the comprehension of most people.

I remain dubious that even if Vance runs/wins in ‘28 that it will be possible to begin to manage the problem: There’s simply too much influence ($$) and coercion (Awan Bros & Epstein were but hints) to break this.

But try we must.

It is the 80-20 concept.

The first 80% of the waste fraud abuse and evil will take 20% of the effort to eliminate.

The last 20% of the waste fraud abuse and evil will take 80% of the effort to eliminate.

That means the first 80% is totally doable in four years.

Uncovering this fraud is one thing, but those responsible should face federal prosecution for fraud and money laundering if not RICO action should. Swamp creatures should be held accountable and face criminal charges or this is all just a sham

Playing devil’s advocate: if Biden had legitimate authority to distribute substantial amount of money to Ukraine in the form of military help, then didn’t he have same authority to distribute $20B to those non-profits via EPA/Citibank? How illegal was it, if at all?

***Once the glare of censure reaches them, they're so immeasurably base that they don't EVEN demonstrate any shame!***

Excellent brief but cogent summary! Now the Demo'Rats are fighting - demanding - their right to operate a totally criminal enterprise! Here is my banner from over 20 years ago that JimRob created for me:

I don't post it much any longer because the Dems have not stopped at criminality, they now regularly commit possible treason!

The Dem Party is in much the same position it was in in 1861 when they demanded the right to operate above the law and the Constitution - especially concerning SLAVERY! They refused any talk of compromise. demanded that they get everything that they wanted, and ended up firing on Fort Sumter 💥 to start the 'civil war'.

Events are eerily similar today❗

FTA: “As first uncovered by RealClearInvestigations...”

That’s odd. I thought O’Keefe Media Group first released a video of one of the epa scum referring to ‘tossing gold bars off the titanic’ which is how the $20B ‘awarded’ was uncovered.

But who was the mastermind behind this? It certainly wasn’t Biden, maybe Jill was a gatekeeper but I don’t think she was leading the way. It seems like a bunch of intern level aids were prepping docs at the behest of someone leading the evil.

The proper punishment for those who did this would be to turn this bunch of criminals over to a group of taxpayers who were allowed to determine their punishment.

In fact I have an in depth understanding of several federal agencies—and if you read my posts here you would be see detailed demonstrations of that knowledge.

The administration is on the right track—and they are in the process of performing the “impossible” over and over and over again—and most of what they are doing and will do will not get mass media coverage.

The folks gaming the system are not geniuses for the most part—they are just evil.

We are going to shut down their gravy chain—80% in four years.

I disagree. ‘They’ will go dormant and wait it out.

Absent replacing every single GSxx manager/administrator & above plus all congresscritters, the damage will be minimal.

They’ will go dormant and wait it out.

Not a long time. 4 years under Trump. If we're lucky, 4-8 years under Vance.

Then it'll be back to business as usual.

Democrats and RINOs included.

Yup. Cynicus, I am (or realist, if you prefer).

I hearken back to my prior comments about the Russians keeping their word (but with the next dem admin).

There are actually three separate issues:

—Congress—big picture big problem but has less power than you might think
—Bureaucrat managers—big problem but easier to fix
—Specific grants/programs—big problem but easier to fix

President Trump is working the last two issues—and doing a great job so far and I expect will continue to work on that.

Congressional corruption is the biggest issue that will stick with us. Probably 95% of the Democrats and 60% of the Republicans came to DC to line their pockets—and they are stealing everything in sight.

That said—Congress has a weakness.

They do not micromanage in most cases. That means President Trump can probably fix 80% of the corruption—one baby step at a time.

Congress will have a hard time dealing with it without specific (super detailed) pork including dollars that they intend to force the President to spend utilizing Impoundment.

(Example: Project for NGO that is run by Congress-critter X’s mistress for X dollars for X fiscal year.)

Congress does not normally get that specific because it is blatant written corruption that opens them to blackmail by any real or potential adversary.
