It seems to me that a significant amount of energy would be lost in the process. But its worth looking at.
I remember an old radio announcer/dj named Wolfman Jack who claimed that birds would drop dead if they flew too close to his broadcast tower. I suspect that high power broadcasts, or even narrow beams, of electricity would be hazardous to organic life.
If you see a TV show, Serbians are always bad guy, every one of them is Milosevic. Djokovic, Jokic, and half of Luka Doncic are hated for it.
In once told this to a friend who was a history professor about this, and he scoffed. But later he told me he had found a college history text book that said Serbia caused World War II.
It really is. The electromagnetic spectrum runs from Radio waves all the way down to Gamma rays. It is why polarized glasses work, because they only allow the electric field to vibrate in one direction.
So we’re going to live in a microwave oven?
I can see this someday happening. 30 years ago, most of us would not have thought about wireless internet, bluetooth, or wireless charging of cell phones either...
This is how Space Ghost punishes that scamp Zorak, with his forearm band Spank ray.
Yes Tesla tried this. He was talking about it to his financial benefactor who asked him “Where do we put the meter?” to which Tesla stated there would BE no meter, that it would be free to everyone.
At which point his benefactor pulled his funding.
That would be World War One. A Serb killed Archduke Ferdinand. To be fair, it was Germany that fanned the responses to that incident to keep it going and made it into a lasting WW1.
IIRC, the Wolfman broadcast over one of the 500 Kw stations located just over the border in Mexico.
And for his trouble The Guess Who made a song for him. But they were from the other side of a different U.S. border.
“Ha...power diminishes according to the inverse square law....”
It pays to read the article before posting ...
Being bombarded by high voltage should be just fine😎
Rectenna, huh.
“Wireless” still needs electricity
I’m in hurricane haven. No power, no “wireless”
“Electromagnetic radiation is used to make electric power at the Ivanpah Power Plant in California.”
I was bathed in this radiation about 30 minutes ago.
I did feel a little warmness.
LOL...very diffuse radiation here and what little is getting through is not heating up the atmosphere much today.
Well then, I stand corrected.
This sounds something like Tesla’s death ray. Of course, the US Goverment confiscated all of his papers and plans after he died, so nothing ever came of it. And Trump’s uncle John, an electrical engineering professor, was a part of that cover up.
Serbia didn’t cause WW II.
I’d say most Americans couldn’t tell you very much about Serbia or point it out on a map.
Your history professor friend couldn’t have been a professor of history.
