I can tell you who is getting poorer, the residents/ratepayers.
Ok, cut if off. Who are you selling it to in order to make up the lost revenue?
Oh, I know.
I’m a lifer.
And during my lifetime NYS has lost almost half its House seats.
We’re a cautionary tale for the nation.
Energy self sufficiency is so important I would welcome Canada cutting off NY and MI, both states with bad policy leaders. they will be forced to do what they should have done by economic circumstance.
MN apparently is not affected.
We should have smaller hydro electric plants all over the US. Both NY and PA have endless opportunities for hydro electric in essentially remote areas.
But, in the end, compact nuclear is the future.
Doug “Droog” Ford canceled Ontario’s contract with Starlink.
That’ll show the peasants in the Ontario hinterland who’s boss!
Oh, wait - the Canadian peasants in the Ontario outback are now screwed!
Wonder if all those folks who recently submitted to the smart electric meters in order to avoid being charged a monthly fee will come to regret their submission...
90% of the population of Canada lives within 150 miles of our common border.
I don’t think their Deep State gives a rat’s patootie about folks in the hinterland.
Great post! Thanks!
Quartzite AZ.
That towns population more than doubles during the winter months.
Yuma AZ. They run to Molar City cross the border to get their dental work done and their prescription glasses.
Theres RVs from Canada all over the place.
Time to start designing and building more coal and nuclear power plants.
Escanaba MI. The pulp and paper mill therr produces enough electricity there to power the most of the population of tge UP of MICHIGAN...or all of Green Bay Wisconsin area for comparison.
Two dams and huge bio mass fired power plant.
They are not allowed to sell the excess power back onto the grid because of some government regulation.
I would suppose Maine had the same except, they closed most of their pulp and paper mills down.
Lots of readons for that and the biggest is foriegn paper imports into the USA.
One thing though. Canada has screwed itself. Potlach and Biewer, etc, are turning up the feed speed in their stud mills. About 5 to 6 hundred million board feet a year will be produced.
Called the Potlach wood buyer at Sawyer, they are licking their chops. Gonna get even and they actually are looking foreward to making ghost towns in Canada where there used to be stud mills.
Hey Doug “Poutine Fries” Ford, how about addressing the fentanyl production and distribution red siren issue?
Your cuntry is killing our citizens.
I got a problem with that.
Stick it to them Trump!
You can keep the “Federal” part of that. I’ll settle for them to stop shutting down perfectly fine coal fired plants.
Doug Ford was never mayor of Toronto. It was his brother Rob who was and he died of liposarcoma. A rare form of cancer that arises from fat. Doug should be careful. It seems he’s gonna pop a vein or something.
The hosers have lost their minds. New York, Michigan and Minnesota weren’t helping the American economy by purchasing electricity from Canada. That was a dumb idea. I guess we are now finding out why the commie DemonRATS were so desperate to get American power plants shut down all across America.
“I guess we are now finding out why the commie DemonRATS were so desperate to get American power plants shut down all across America.”
democrat mantra:
Make America dependent again!
What plants? Even if there are any left, it takes more than 10 minutes to supply fuel and flip the switch to get electricity up to the pole. On top of that, there are most likely dozens of permits required. These aren’t pizza ovens.
Yeah, no more Canadian bacon.
