Will the MAGA Barbarian Invasion Succeed?
American Thinker ^ | 11 Mar, 2025 | Christopher Chantrill

Posted on 03/11/2025 4:31:56 AM PDT by MtnClimber

The great question of the moment is whether the Trump Revolution is irreversible, or whether our Democratic friends will get their act together and return in clouds of glory to rule over us as they did so magnificently from the days of the New Deal to the Great Society. Far-right blogger Curtis Yarvin in “Barbarians and mandarins” thinks that the barbarian invasion of the Trump hordes will eventually submit to the superior organization of the mandarins of the administrative state.

He has a point. The barbarian invasions of China, from the Mongols to the Manchus, all ended up with the barbarian emperor sitting on top of the eternal mandarin bureaucracy. Until, that is, the foreign invasion of the Marx virus, which blew up the mandarin system and its merit system of examination and replaced it with a purely political administrative caste of the barbarian Communists.

Of course, the mandarin system was incredibly corrupt, if Jianing Chen’s Core of Chinese Classical Fiction is to be believed. And so is our own mandarin administrative state, if DOGE is to be believed.

The distinction between barbarians and mandarins is a constant in human affairs. Here are some more distinctions: disruption vs. stagnation; war vs. peace; famine vs. plenty; chaos vs. stability; creation vs. continuity. And let us not forget the latest distinction: armed insurrection vs. peaceful protest.

I think that we humans are programmed to believe in stability, safety, continuity. Doing things the way we have always done them. I suspect that in the old days of peasant agriculture a rigid observance of tradition was the best way to avoid starvation. Except when it wasn’t.

It seems the democRATs shifted their election fraud to the congressional races in 2024. There is less than two years to fix this or the midterms will be a disaster.

The GOP needs to focus more on freedom and legislate accordingly.

Us Christians need to fan the flame of the next great awakening (which I believe we’re in the early stages of) so that people will be less inclined to believe in the god of government.

One large change may be the disruption of their taxpayer funding by Trump
and DOGE.

Rent a mobs cost money.i have noticed a lack of mob sizes and professional signs lately 🤔

One tactical change I have suggested is that in addition to listing the costs of these programs exposed, add the number of average middle class taxpayers taxes to pay for these programs. Put a face on these numbers

The deep state exists to expand its reach and power, and has nothing to do with improving the lives of the surfs they despise

the SINGLE very best way to end the democrats and their complicit rinocrats once and for all is to eliminate their power source once and for all...eliminate ALL income taxes for every AMERICAN. period. no if, and’s or buts. NO EXCUSES! does ANYONE here for a second believe that any political party would even attempt to reinstitute an income tax after finding out how much their government was stealing from them for all of these decades? let the “IF’s, AND’S and BUT’s begin now and the deeper problem with allowing Americans to keep and spend their OWN money will reveal its own self.

I think few understand that the biggest power congress has is to tax or to give tax breaks.
Gives them power and fills their coffers

Agree on the tactic, not everyone makes the connection between government waste and fraud and how it personally affects. And the long term risks if it isn’t solved.

Also, the old media will run sob stories of laid off Federal workers, programs cut, etc. It has to be countered with the personal impact on Americans. Must talk about the runaway train of debt and corruption that is being stopped by people that are not doing this for the money (President Trump, Elon Musk..,).

Nothing last forever. Having said that, the last Chinese dynasty, Qing of Manchu, last for 267 years from 1644 to 1911. If MAGA can last for even 25 years, it will change the country a lot.

Still want to know how someone got locked in a bathroom from “only employee with keys fired” story😂

The only people who care about whining fired govt employees are other blue haired govt employees.

Keep it up dims, love the strategy 😎

Musk gets to the most important point. Immediately. And he doesn’t seem to be easily swayed once he’s had time to consider the situation. Like a dog with a bone, among other metaphors...

One MAGA type guy This Guy talked to this A.M. was P.O.’d about what he heard were thousands of veterans losing their VA jobs, through Musk-inspired layoffs there.

And that will happen, I am a veteran of almost 40 years, my service does not grant me special status or a job that is not needed.

I chose to serve, and enjoyed all the good, the bad, and the ugly, but that doesn’t make me a saint or worthy of special status

My 2 cents

BTW, I have known many “veterans “ that I wouldn’t hire to rake my leaves . Being a veteran doesn’t make you automatically a great person.

This guy is not a veteran. He’s a naturalized American citizen from a Carribean island nation. But he’s clearly patriotic with respect to this country. This Guy leans more in your direction than in his. But can understand his feelings.

We will implement [A.I.] in the Biden administration and in the second term. We are going to make sure that A.I. is going to be a function of two or three large companies. We will directly regulate and control those companies. There will be no start-ups.

Yet somehow, Trump and his supporters are the ones accused of being "fascists". Unreal.

“Blowing up the mandarin system” is exactly what the MAGA movement is all about. If Trump perseveres, it will have lasting effect. Obama used to prattle about “transformative presidents.” And that was before Trump.

Trump has radically changed what can be done, and what can be talked about in American society. He has moved the “Overton Window.”

the destruction of USAID was good, but he must follow through with elimination of US Dept of Education. That will prove that NO agency is untouchable.

He has shown that illegal immigration can be taken to Zero

DOGE has stabbed the corrupt administrative state in the heart.

Trump has started a revolution and while it will be hard fought, the bloated, woke, leftist Fed.gov that existed before and controlled society will lose
