@RepThomasMassie
Someone thinks they can control my voting card by threatening my re-election. Guess what? Doesn’t work on me. Three times I’ve had a challenger who tried to be more MAGA than me. None busted 25% because my constituents prefer transparency and principles over blind allegiance.
@RepThomasMassie
The military industrial complex demands about $50 billion per year in war. As soon as we quit spending $50b per year in Afghanistan, we started spending $50b per year in Ukraine. Watch where the next $50b per year goes when we stop sending it to Ukraine. The MIC is always hungry.

What do you have in mind?
Deep State was never going to be delenda est in a day.
The Revolutionary War took eight years.
This one could take ever longer against an entrenched enemy that hides in plain sight, doesn’t have an ocean to cross, and has God knows how much of our money hoarded.
Tom Paine said it best...
“...THESE are the times that try men’s souls: The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country but he that stands it NOW, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hall, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain, too cheap, we esteem too lightly:—’Tis dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to set a proper price upon its goods; and it wou?d be strange indeed, if so celestial an article as Freedom should not be highly rated...”
“What do you have in mind?”
Honestly I don’t have an answer for that. But if it is not practical and actually effective then we don’t even need to spend the money. It is throwing money away just to help the MIC rape the taxpayers.
This age old myth that “We MUST spend money on defense!” even if the toys make absolutely no sense needs to end. If it is not practical and productive then we don’t need to even spend the money then.
It is no different than the money we wasted on the Ca high speed rail project. We should have never even spent one dime on it in the first place. Just like the MIC it was nothing but a money laundering scheme.
I was going to argue with you that we do need more ships and submarines. Then I remembered that the last $12B earmarked for submarines vanished, and no new submarines appeared, so... I can’t really argue. LOL!
And that is not the only time money has been stolen fron the people by the MIC. It has happened many times over the decades, it is a running gig. And MOST times under the watch of the establishment GOP. The GOP “IS” the party of MIC graft and kickbacks. Bush Sr, Bush Jr, McCain, Graham, McConnell, Bolton, and many others...
LOL
Was it fun to spin hypotheticals. I hope so because they add nothingto the discussion. Trump/Musk/Cabinet are laser focused on identifying waste, fraud abuse, redundancy. These people have a track record of success. IMO America is very lucky they stepped up for this very difficult job, in many cases w/o a salary or with a major paycut.
Puts the sniping in perspective for me.
Sure thing President Openurmind
I don’t know what’s worse. The Paul, Massie, McConnells of KY or the Gowdy, Haley, Scott, Grahams of SC.
Oh man... You just got me good. Not sure I will ever recover from that brilliant 4th grade insult. Broken for life...
Trump, Musk & Massie all heroes to me. If I were in Massie, I would not vote for another dollar of spending until the judicial either policed itself or its usurpation got ignored by the Executive. DOGE needs to complete its work iteratively!
What have they accomplished with their consistency?
Perhaps thinking outside the box with the end goal in mind would have served them, their constituents & the USA much better.
And spend intelligently & responsibly.
Cut waste, fight smart & deadly and stop wasting our people & supplies on Nations that should be carrying their own burdens.
That is the Trump/Hegseth plan.
I RESENT THAT!
5TH grade.
Ok, I will give you that...
Massie was the only member of the House to vote against extending sanctions on Iran in 2016.
Here is the thing about "being judged", you don't get a vote until it's after the fact, and then it's called a protest.
It's an immutable fact, regardless of content, that anything before "BUT" is bullshit.
BUT, you can look it up, try wikipedia for facts that you can agree with.
Sometimes “sanctions” are like telling a hijacked plane it can’t land and refuel at your airport while it’s heading for your skyscraper.
