My wife and I loaded up the cars and made the drive from Mira Mesa (north San Diego) to Chubbuck on Dec 16, 2000. We rolled into the driveway at our new home on Dec 17th. The moving van with our "stuff" rolled up Dec 19th.

I had lots of complications after the Whipple because my renal artery was nicked. Lots of internal bleeding and infections followed. Fortunately, that is behind me now. I plugged my medical details into grok3 for an assessment/prognosis. Statistically, I'm good for about 32 months post Whipple (June 2024) before the cancer reappears. Plenty of time to get my affairs in order.
