It was at this time 5 years ago that wuhan/covid hysteria was growing exponentially, led by Fauci.

In the following weeks, there were masks, social distancing, karens, and economic devastation.

Just a history buff.

“..It was at this time 5 years ago that wuhan/covid hysteria was growing exponentially, led by Fauci....”

And Fauxi is STILL walking amonst us breathing God’s good air with a big, ole pocketful of our tax dollars. Read somewhere that Putin wanted him as part of the Ukraine peace negotiations. He wants him to stand trial in Russia for mass murder and crimes against humanity. We should give the vile, little basstid to him, along with all the Soros ilk, as a good will gesture and peace offering.. Couldn’t happen to a better bunch.

I never bothered with their “rules”. Flouted all of them, all the time. Except I wore a mask UNDER my nose so idiots wouldn’t yell at me. Performative, not effective.

"I want to base it on facts – like how many people died," she says. "Could we have saved a lot more people if we had had a lockdown?"

No. Next (stupid) question?

“In London, theatre worker Tony Beckingham and his partner decided to use their daily exercise to cycle into the centre of the city one evening. “We thought it’d be really fun to see no-one around,””

I did that here on the San Fran peninsula and LOVED it. There were no planes in the sky. The 1,400 acre Foothills Park in Palo Alto was completely empty and I had it all to myself. I was out hiking every day and had all the parks to myself. I would tear all the stupid yellow “Caution” tape off the park benches wherever I found it. Whoever thought you could impact the spread of a respiratory disease by putting yellow “Caution” tape on the park benches. The hardest part was parking. I’d have to park a half mile or mile from the park and walk to it because all the gates were closed and locked.

I split time between Idaho and California. California was absolutely nuts and neurotic (and still is — masks still everywhere!) and Idaho was laid back and relaxed. Guess what the results were? Same per capita cases, hospitalizations, ICUs and deaths.

Many scientists emphasise that lockdowns were crucial for saving lives in the early part of the pandemic, before vaccines were available

Someone needs to inform these "scientists" that the "vaccines" prevent neither infection or transmission, and that there is ZERO data to support the assertion that they reduce the "severity" or chance of hospitalization or death.

OMG. Is this a novel or an exercise in creative writing?

Too many words.

The Author goes to great lenghths to find ways to show the lockdowns might have been as effective as not having them.

It is pathetic.

I remember a picture of wedding on Norwegian/Swedish border.
They were not allowed to cross the border, so they held hands across it! Crazy!

One thing the article doesn’t address. How many of the excess deaths around the world since 2021 are attributable to the Covid vaccines that many people were mandated or strong armed to take against their will?

Anyone who truly believes in “science” should want to know the answer to this questions. Unfortunately the government officials, academics, media shills, medical professionals, and pharmaceutical companies who collaborated in the the lockdowns and vaccine administration, telling the people to believe the “science” have aggressively opposed any attempt for a subjective look into the as a factor in the excess death count.

There is a similar unwillingness to examine the impact of the respirator plus remdisivir treatment protocol which may have killed many hospitalized Covid patients. Plus, there is no scientific interest in comparing the outcomes of doctors using therapeutic treatments such as ivermectin during the time period before the vaccine became available.

Trust the science we are told. However, remedies the scientists create are not subjected to rational and subjective evaluation, how can one trust the science?

“already killed many thousands of people”

BS, the virus itself didn’t kill anyone who didn’t have other glaring health issues and were given bad treatment advice. It was the flu. My dad passed during that crap because he was a heavy smoker and had a heart condition, not the virus.

5 years ago that Wuhan/Covid hysteria was growing exponentially, led by Fauci.

My wife was due for a hip replacement, and her surgery
was scheduled in the following weeks. Due to Fauci, that surgery was delayed for months to a year.

We feel that her delays due to Fauci’s thugs, set back her postup healing for a year+. Some relatives and friends died after delaying surgery or cancer treatments.

I use the stupidity and sheeple compliance of covid to know we are doomed as a society. Nothing Trump, et al., is doing right now matters in the slightest. People love liberalism and will demand it back.

“Some economists have combined similar data with comparisons of economic performance indicators between the same four Nordic countries to argue that, overall, Sweden's approach was justified due to the relatively low economic costs. But such arguments are controversial and the lack of a lockdown in Sweden remains an area for heated debate among some.”

This is such nonsense. I had been tracking this virus using the John Hopkins site for about two years using an Excel spreadsheet. The Scandinavian countries, and particularly Sweden, did not disturb their population to near the extend the US did. As of February 22, 2023, virus deaths per million for the megalopolis found in the combined states of Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Connecticut was twice that of Sweden, which has a similar disproportion in population makeup between urban and rural. For all of the US it is 41% less. You could verify this information by using the John Hopkin’s site and latest population figures, but it is probably gone now.

I told everyone that would listen this was a mistake and stupid. It dragged on for almost 2 years in some places. I still have around 15% of the people I work with wearing masks TODAY!
