Beginning in the mid-1950s California families with moronic children who couldn’t be accepted in the states major universities sent them up to Oregon. Then East Coast dregs learned that they could send their moronic kids to Oregon at a tenth of the price it would cost at a midiocre U in their region. The result has been decades of poorly educated students who live off their family teat and who have found western Oregon will now not only put up with their shenanigans but support them.
