Progressives (Leftists) view such oaths with disdain. The entire structure of Progressivism is built on lies and the ability to “work around” Constitutional restraints.

There are no consequences for violating the oath of office. A violation of such oath was views as resulting in being rejected at the polls on the next election.

When the voters do not hold the office holder accountable, no one else will or can.

Why don’t the voters hold politicians accountable for violating their oaths?

Because the media protects/protected the politicians and made them into heroes, and ignored the oath violations when it furthered the Progressive agenda.
