Well, let’s see...I spent 18 years ‘in the biz’ and was more than willing to SELL you a Yew - but I certainly wouldn’t TELL you how to propagate your own, LOL!

I may be jeopardizing my retirement holdings, but this guy shows you how. There are ‘softwood’ cuttings and ‘hardwood’ cuttings and a different procedure for each...BUT you didn’t hear it from ME. ;)

There are many yews needing trimming @ my Mom’s old place (prep for selling it), so I’ll have plenty to experiment with.

The sentimental aspect is considerable, as that was our home when I was a teen, and the memories of hide-and-go-seek, etc., amongst the yews, are still with me.

In our case, a good hedge along the NE side of our property would help with road noise and add privacy.

BTW, there’s no way I can afford enough yews to start that hedge, so, you retirement holdings are unaffected! :-)
