I think I read that he was fired, rather than allowed to resign. Maybe that comes with some kind of financial/pension penalty. It depends on the reason given for the firing.
He was told to retire or be fired.
Retiring means he keeps his pension (and a ‘legal connection’ to Fed-zilla).
I am more concerned about the status of his NATSEC clearances... of which he should be relieved.
I thought I read in his X post that he was resigning.
