reminds me of a parent-teacher conference where the student’s uncle, who was a school board member, accompanied the parents. The student had turned in, as her own submission, a geometry project with another student’s name on it AND that I had already scored, put a grade on it, and returned to the other student. Who’d a thunk?! In the words of Red Forman from That 70’s Show, “Dumba$$.”

Indeed, Eisenhower had 95% of the country in favor of what he was doing, and that 95% weren’t afraid to take on any bullies that thought they could do otherwise. We were a very cohesive nation in those years.
