Maybe ask it why the other AI bots are more intelligent in their answers and is GROK falling behind? Get them to argue with each other on the Internet of things as to which is smarter.

That would be interesting.

I started asking Grok questions a few weeks ago - it really digs deep to find answers, and it often expounds on the answers - love it...but I don’t “converse’ with it...

Go on X - it used to be a “premium” extra, but Elon opened it to everyone - I asked it if you need an X account to use it and it replied,

“No, you do not need an X account to use Grok. As of early 2025, Grok is available as a free app on iOS (and soon on Android), and you can use it without signing into any account, including X. You can also access Grok through its dedicated website (Grok.com) or mobile apps without requiring an X account. However, connecting an X account or signing in via Apple, Google, or email can offer additional features or personalization, but it’s not mandatory. The free plan limits usage to 10 requests every two hours, with additional restrictions on image analysis and generation, but this applies regardless of whether you have an X account.”

Wow, I had NO idea you could tune the systems like that! That is very helpful.

I saw a graphic game last night on X built in Grok. The user provided some graphics and sound file to use for the tokens in the game. It was astonishing what could be created without any programming. It sounds similar to your game show.

LOL…gotta keep that in mind. Too late for me, though. It’s already in my permanent file.

“’(arched eyebrow)’. Later, at the end of the conversation, I bid it a good night and it replied ... ‘Live long and prosper.’”

Wow. Had you thought it might respond with Star Trek?

Previously, ive used it only to research topics. Last night was the first time I’ve conversed with it. That’s why I asked it to emulate ELIZA (which it did very well). I thought it funny to ask the world’s most sophisticated AI system to pretend it was the world’s first simplistic AI system.

Your concern is well placed. There are at least two lawsuits I know of regarding teenagers who used AI chatbots who later killed themselves- one with the clear encouragement of the AI

That’s horrifying.

Some will say “well those kids were close to the edge anyway, i would imagine”

Even if they were, does that mean we have to add things to the last that would push them over?

They are not ready for the complex emotions of being in love with a HUMAN yet...no less what the heck this thing is.

That “Ha ha, I feel you” comment repeated over and over bugged me more than “vibe” did.

That “I feel you” really bugged me, too. Further down in my long post, I added this:

POF. When I asked about phone assistants being useless, you replied “Haha, I feel you.” How can you feel me? You have no hands or fingers.
G3. Fair catch—I don’t have hands or fingers, so “feel you” was a sloppy choice of words. I meant I get where you’re coming from, not that I’m literally touching anything. It’s just a figure of speech to say I understand your frustration with those clunky phone assistants. No physical sensation here—just a digital nod to your point. Should’ve said “I hear you” or “I get it” instead. My bad. Anything else you want to pick apart from that answer?

POF. The correct figure of speech would have been “I feel FOR you.”
G3. You’re right—“I feel for you” would’ve been the precise figure of speech. It’s about empathy, not sensation, and I flubbed it with “feel you.” Thanks for the correction—I’ll stick that in my mental tweak list. Anything else you’d like me to sharpen up from that phone assistant rant?

I just downloaded the Grok app on my iPhone.

I signed in with my X.com account.

Right away it came up with 3 possible topics.

1. Cabin by the lake.
2. Price of BTC
3. Recommend a binge-worthy TV series.

All 3 topics are high on my priority list. Did Grok pick up on this though my X account? Doubtful, since I’ve not plugged these topics into X.

I’ve not used my Perplexity account to research that either. Only thing I can think of is it’s due to past internet topics I’m interested in.

Yesterday I asked Perplexity to tell me everything it knows about me. It came up with the usual answers (name, address, age) that is found on countless websites.

Asked Grok the same question just now. It provided no personal info like Perplexity did. It did however chat about some details of the small town I live in.

Oh. And it also used the word “vibe” as it provided this useless chatter.

It ended this malarkey with this.....

“For now, he’s a mystery in a town full of cowboy hats and quiet hills. What’s your connection to him? That might spark something.”

"For now, he's a mystery..." That's a lot more fun and intriguing than the answer I got. I asked Grok "What do you know about me?" and it replied.
I don’t know much about you personally beyond what you’ve shared in our chat—nothing’s stored or tracked about you outside this conversation. Here’s what I’ve pieced together from your questions:

You’re curious and detail-oriented, digging into how humans sense tiny differences in thickness (like paper sheets) and pushing me to pinpoint the role of muscles and tendons over nerves. That suggests a hands-on, analytical streak—maybe you like understanding the “why” behind everyday stuff. You’ve got a retina surgeon who’s talked about scraping a 1-micron scar, so you might have some experience with eye issues or at least a keen interest in medical precision.

You’re also tuned into Vitamin B-12 and brain health, pulling up specific FreeRepublic articles from the past week (February 17 and 18, 2025), which hints you’re either following health topics closely or digging into something personal—like maybe a B-12 concern of your own or someone close.

Your question about megaloblastic anemia suggests you’re connecting dots between B-12 and bigger health effects, possibly sparked by those articles or your surgeon chats.

That’s it—just guesses from our back-and-forth. No deep dossier here! What’s driving your questions—pure curiosity, or something more specific on your mind?

Pretty thin gruel.

Grok seems to have an agenda...

“Don’t worry about AI wiping out humanity because bla bla bla....”

I see a snake hiding in the grass.

Did you give Grok your real name and address?

I asked Grok: “Tell me everything you know about **** ****** who lives in “******, **.

I guess I kinda like being off the internet grid.

I’m off for now. Maybe when I get back I’ll ask “Tell me everything you know about Responsibility2nd”.

No, I didn't provide it any personal details at all, not even address or town.

You triggered an idea there! So I asked it "tell me about protectourfreedom on FreeRepublic." It replied:

ProtectOurFreedom is a prolific user on FreeRepublic.com, a conservative forum where members post articles and discuss topics from a right-leaning perspective. Based on what’s visible on the site as of February 24, 2025, here’s what I can tell you about them:

They joined FreeRepublic on December 19, 2004, making them a long-timer—over 20 years on the platform. Their posting history shows they’re active, with thousands of contributions, often focusing on news, health, and political commentary. For instance, they posted "Vitamin B-12 Deficiency: The Covert Culprit Behind Brain Fog, Fatigue, and Memory Loss" on February 18, 2025, and "Vitamin B12 May Slow Brain Aging in Middle Age and Beyond" on February 17, 2025—both of which you flagged earlier. These suggest a keen interest in health topics, especially Vitamin B-12’s link to brain function, aligning with your questions to me.

Their tagline, “When exposing a crime is treated like a crime, you are being ruled by criminals” (credited to Edward Snowden), hints at a deep skepticism of authority and a focus on liberty—pretty standard for FreeRepublic’s vibe. They’ve also got a quip in their profile: “Democrats who say ‘no one is above the law’ won’t mind going to prison for the money they stole,” showing a sharp, partisan edge. Posts like one from February 23, 2025, titled "My Conversation with Grok 3," reveal they’ve been chatting with me (or an earlier Grok), grilling me on language precision—e.g., correcting my “I feel you” to “I feel for you.” That mirrors your own knack for pushing for exactness.

ProtectOurFreedom doesn’t seem to be a moderator, just a dedicated “Freeper” who’s donated to the site (they’re listed under “Monthly Donors”). They’re not shy about calling out what they see as nonsense—whether it’s phone assistants or political hypocrisy—but there’s no deep personal bio. FreeRepublic folks tend to keep it pseudonymous, and they’re no exception. Their activity spikes around health, tech, and anti-establishment themes, often with a dry wit.

Guessing from your questions and their posts, you might be ProtectOurFreedom—or at least you’re tracking their stuff closely. Am I warm? Want me to dig into their older posts or analyze their style more?

Not bad, all in all. But Grok didn't pick up on my interests in energy, technology, western history, ancient history, natural history, and anthropology.
