Racoons have drowned coon dogs.

Racoons most often win the battles against rats.

A 50lb raccoon...right.

35 is considered massive unless it’s a pet then they get fat.

If they’re out in the daytime that’s unusual, if they show no fear that’s a sign they’re not good so shoot em, if they attack then game on.

They might kill chickens but I have never had them mess with a cat. Even the foxes won’t mess with my cats.

You can’t blame an animal for trying to defend itself.

Neighbor had raccoons tearing into his silo bags. He went outside and found 50 or so, tearing open his corn silage bags. He fired a shot and they scattered up a very old 75' Basswood tree, where he began shooting them out of said tree. He kept shooting until his vest pockets were empty of shells for his shotgun. He then realized about 30 wounded raccoons were closing in on his position. They were very angry. He lost one ear, got part of his scalp ripped off, and hundreds of bites around his neck and his groin.

Mean beasts. Not just cute trash pandas.

Heheh. I love the little guys but they can become a problem if you give them an inch.

I just leave them food

Never a problem for years but one day it was 2v2

I yelled at the hissing ones and told them to share lol πŸ˜‚

Only about one raccoon 🦝 left sadly

I’m on my 4th possum it appears

The third one took Ritz crackers as gently as a puppy - he’s been missing for 2 years so gone apparently πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜žπŸ™

I have a possum or 2. My property backs up to a wetland area and I need possums to kill the rattlesnakes and copperheads. The cats help too. They don't kill them, but they play with them until they're worn out (and leave).

After a storm a few years ago, one of my cats found a small rattler in my house (in the laundry room) and alerted me.

Me too. Still do.;-)

If humans were as clever as raccoons, there would be no unemployment.

Raccoons hustle.

If you could teach them to work in factories or offices, human's would be quickly replaced.
