BRAZIL – The world’s biggest poultry exporter has never reported any bird flu outbreaks. And they do NOT vaccinate birds.
According to this,they initiated their program in late 2022; and they had lost a lot of birds, so the title of this thread is misleading:
But they did have a 27% drop in egg exports in 2024 only offset by a sudden 116% in December 2024. So something was going on with supply last year.
I suspect they neither test nor cull. And now after losing some birds, their laying flocks are healthier and more resistant.
The FDA/USDA culling policy is stupid. They are breeding weakness.
