So, as the live cam is watching her get underway, but not of her own power...
For anyone who has followed along with my free-wheeling adventure-studies (it's a tough crowd):
As the name of a ship, her Hebrew name is simply what she called, "United States", transliterated:
ืืื ืืืื ืกืืืืืก
(I don't make this stuff up -- here's her Hebrew page.)
"United States" = 257. Here's the first verse in the Torah where that sum appears in a word or phrase:
ืืื ืืืื ืกืืืืืก (257)
ืืจืืฉืืช 1:3
ืืืืืจ ืืืืื ืืื ืืืจ ืืืื ืืืจ
It's the first word, "and [he] said"
Genesis 1:3
And said [ืืืืืจ] Elohim, "Let there be light!" And there was light.
Perhaps some here will recall a study that was on a separate track entirely, that the Hebrew abbreviation for the United States (the country) is ืืจื"ื, which is formed out of the first two letters of each word: ARtzot HaBrit [ืึทืจืฆืึนืช ืึทืึผึฐืจึดืืช], lit. the lands of the covenant. It's the equivalent of "US".
It's a typical pattern for acronym-creation, esp. when the second word begins with a prefix letter (in this case, the letter hei for "the"). The second letter of the second word is the first of the actual root letters [of the second word].
Thus, if an acronym were to be made for the "Ark of the Covenant" -- Aron HaBrit [ืึฒืจืึนื ืึทืึผืจึดืืช] -- the same rules and pattern would beget...

Now, it is kind of obvious that if such an acronym existed, it would cause a lot of confusion because people would see the Ark of the Covenant and automatically think it was the United States.
But really, could you blame 'em?

Well, the word is also used for Joseph's coffin:

The midrash says that the Egyptians had placed him in a... heavy metal/lead coffin, and then sunk him deep in DeNile, for all the blessings that they'd receive as long as Joseph remained there. They knew that the Hebrews weren't going to leave Egypt without the bones of Joseph.

The USNS Comfort began life as an oil tanker named Rose City. I have been unable to find the reason for that name. I suppose it could be anything. Perhaps the shipbuilders were connected to Portland, OR. Although... Petra in Jordan is also known as "Rose City". It's an excellent pun on petroleum for an oil tanker.
