Vice President Kamala Harris is once again in the spotlight for her public speaking—this time facing allegations that she was intoxicated while delivering a disjointed address to the cast and crew of A Wonderful World: The Louis Armstrong Musical on Broadway.
Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, attended two Broadway productions over the weekend, watching A Wonderful World before later seeing Gypsy the New York Post reported. But it was her comments following the first show that have set social media ablaze.
While addressing the cast and crew, Harris struggled to string together coherent thoughts, delivering yet another infamous “word salad.”
“When we think about these moments where we see things that are being taken but also let’s see it as you know, nature abhors a vacuum,” Harris said.
“So where some—where there’s a vacancy, then let’s fill it,” Harris continued. “But we have to, we have to be clear-eyed. And it doesn’t mean we don’t see the beauty in everything. Right? These things all coexist.”

The muddled remarks left many questioning whether Harris had been drinking before stepping up to the microphone. Video clips of the moment quickly went viral, with critics branding her a “drunk auntie” and a “functional alcoholic.”
Others speculated about Harris’s well-being, pointing out her frequent sniffing and erratic speaking style.
Whether the former Vice President was under the influence or simply delivering another one of her signature rambling speeches, her ability to turn even a simple message into a verbal labyrinth continues to baffle and amuse Americans.
Like I mentioned, I have significant experience identifying drunks. One tell is that they tend to bring their chin way too close to their chest, because they feel they can keep the odor of alcohol from being as apparent.... like they are ‘holding it in’. Rewatch the video with that in mind, you’ll see it.
And the reaction of people who know, take a look at the husband scanning the room to gauge reaction.
I’ll give her some credit on not slurring words TOO much. She’s clearly had some practice. I know a few alcoholics who have some skills at that.
Harvard needs its Free Speech movement to succeed! Then all her Trump supporters can come out from the shadows, and Harvard Admissions can go back to admitting Arizonans and North Dakotans instead of Palestinians!

Primary voters tend to be very engaged with their party, they work inside campaigns and know all the players personally. They sent a huge warning when they wouldn’t give Harris even one delegate during the primary.
As for her speaking patterns and the use of her hands, waving about - when I was in the Navy and would have drunken discussions with people I went out drinking with while on liberty - that is exactly how we spoke and acted. So damn positive in our drunken ramblings, thinking we were so damn smart to see things "clearly" in our drunken stupors.

They are trying to cover for her, just like they tried to cover for Biden. Dems are a broken party with no leader. I blame Trump and Obama, what a team!

That was the trap of 2024.
The Democrats would have pulled it off if it wasn't for Kamala Harris.
Trump is looking better today due to the corruption by the Deep State. But he was not really that popular in 2024. However, he looked good when he was going up against Joe Biden and then Kamala Harris.
If the Democrats had someone who was competent, Trump would have lost.
Remember this is when the Democrats had their political machine intact and it was before Trump could get in the White House with Elon Musk (and DOGE). So we were clueless about the extent of the corruption that was happening the whole time.
As Dean Martin said to Frank Sinatra onstage in Las Vegas:
