Sarah Palin: 'I'd Love to Serve' in Trump Administration
Newsmax ^

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin expressed frustration over not being asked to serve in the Trump administration, saying the president's "gatekeepers" are "tight."

Speaking to NewsNation's "On Balance With Leland Vittert" on Friday, the former Republican vice-presidential candidate said she's "frustrated" that she hasn't been asked to be a part of the administration.

"I thought that there would be a position in Energy in that Department, because that's my baby: wanting energy independence for America. You know, that's all about security and sovereignty of our nation is to be energy independent," Palin said. "But that hasn't happened."

The 2008 running mate of the late Sen. John McCain said she's been surprised that her background in an energy-rich state and national politics has kept her off the administration's short list.

"I didn't even get credentials to attend the GOP convention, if you can believe it," she added. "They're tight. They're tight.

"And I'm the only living Republican nominee who had run for VP or president who supported Trump. And even I couldn't get in. So, you know, yeah, they're pretty tight ... but I'd love to serve."

Palin, who unsuccessfully ran for Congress in 2022, predicted that if Trump isn't able to get his mandate through, some personnel changes are likely to happen early.

"If things aren't going to be smooth, if his agenda is not going to be ushered in per the vote of the people, the wishes of the people, then I think they will regroup and maybe already change some persons," she said.

Palin gave us the Tea Party and paved the path for Trump. I didn’t vote for Romney either because of what the Party and his operatives did to her. I sat it out. So glad I did.

It’s my biggest FR trigger: when people insinuate Palin “quit” — No, she was lawfared out of office including by Romney-McCain operatives, but unlike Trump, she had no financial barrier. And zero RNC support. Not to mention a baby with a lifelong disability.

Alaska has thick entrenched interests she spent her initial career ruffling - the oil & gas companies run the show and the Murkowski dynasty caters to them.

The media sabotage was so destructive, even *freepers* bought into the narratives. So relentless, Palin is a shell of her former self.

I'm Hardnosed in support for Sarah Palin.

The American Conservative Heroes are Reagan, Palin and Trump.

Reagan had his own long period of learning about the Left, Trump had his first term to learn about the Left, Palin had neither and no support from us.

Most "Republicans" aren't fit to shine her heels, airplane, bobsled or truck. She was standing toe to toe with the biggest big boy politicians at a time when no Female politicians in America would do so.

Sarah made a few mistakes, but was fighting Highly Organized DemoRat Lawfare and Highly Organized DemoRat-MSM Disinformation while Do-Nothing RINOs and "Conservatives" didn't even know those things existed.

Palin resigned to spare the ordinary Alaskan taxpayer the cost of the Lawfare civil suits, a Trick DemoRat Law in Alaska required the State to pay all the Lawyers that file suit against the Governor, but not against a private party.

The moment Palin resigned, the Rat Lawyers dropped the nuisance suits because they knew they wouldn't get paid and they wouldn't win.

Palin was fighting absolutely alone which puts the shame on US, not her.

===========================

This bears repeating.

I think her time has come and gone. Otherwise Trump would have already called on her.

Actually she never said that. It was Tina Fey on SNL and somehow people believe Sarah said it.

No. Palin said you could see Russia from Alaska, then Fey said Palin said you could see Russia from her house.

Well said....

That adds on to what I'd posted about why she left the Gov's office, upthread.

There’s more. 4 white trash kids. The youngest(5th) we all loved.

Yea if she couldnt keep her house in order how could she handle the nation. Being a mother is a full time job. If you have another full time job, one or both will suffer. Her reality show really showed her true colors. It seemed even the people of Alaska were not too fond of her.

The Tea Party movement was popularly launched following a February 19, 2009, call by CNBC reporter Rick Santelli on the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange for a “tea party”.[26][27] On February 20, 2009, The Nationwide Tea Party Coalition also helped launch the Tea Party movement via a conference call attended by around 50 conservative activists.[28][29] Supporters of the movement subsequently had a major impact on the

That is also absolutely accurate.

Palin came out of 2008 fighting for a movement, in December of 2008 she was unbowed and started rallying the bolder, tougher fighters of the right, and it worked, some politicians in the GOP started talking tougher, using tougher, plainer language like she was doing, people formed the Tea Party, the silent majority in America started raising their voices and having rallies.

Palin at Searchlight, Nevada.

Perhaps she should start again where she left off and run for governor. Let the people of Alaska decide where she’d be more at home. The current governor is term limited and a return would be Trumpian.

That way the national media will have to go out of their way to harass her.

Her name recognition and dogged support for the cause should be enough. She doesn’t have to be made ambassador to England but there are plenty of spots to fill and she deserves an opportunity.

Yes we were all excited about her. I even volunteered for the campaign. Cant begin to tell you the names I was called while trying to drum up the vote for McCain/Palin, not only on here but over the phone. It was brutal.

Then she was lawfared out of the governor’s office and eventually disappeared. Was not the fighter I expected. She did a reality show. Didnt hear much about her...appearance at CPAC, divorce, occasional bar fight. Yes I feel duped.

She has been mostly absent from the political scene. Dont know what role she could play in a President Trump administration.
