There is absolute panic in DC. Thousands are going to prison and all the taxpayer money they stole will be clawed back.
Internet search trends in the Washington, DC, metro area have been nothing short of stunning in recent weeks, reflecting what appears to be growing panic within the federal bureaucracy as President Trump and Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) root out corruption in non-governmental organizations (NGO) and federal agencies.
Earlier this week, internet search trends for "Criminal Defense Lawyer" and "RICO Laws" went viral on X, fueling speculation that Washington's political elites were in panic mode.
The searches coincided with DOGE's efforts to neuter USAID's funding of NGOs that propped up a shadow government, as well as begin cutting tens of thousands of workers from various federal agencies.
Before that was ABSCAM in 1981, when seven Senators (six Democrat and one Republican) were convicted of bribery. Sen. Harrison A. Williams (D-NJ) served three years in prison. Rep. Frank Thompson (D-NJ) served two years in prison. Rep. John Jenrette (D-SC) served 13 months in prison. Rep. Raymond Lederer (D-PA) served 10 months in prison. Rep. Michael Myers (D-PA) served 3 years in prison. Rep. John M. Murphy (D-NY) served 18 months in prison. Rep. Richard Kelly (R-FL) served 13 months in prison.

I don’t think much of that money is coming back, either. But hopefully the floodgates of corrupt money are being shut moving forward.
That’s why we need a revitalized m i l i t i a movement.
A few bureaucrats might be indicted. For example the three DHS employees who illegally transferred huge sums of federal dollars into an outside bank should face charges. However the thousands of rank and file bureaucrats like the bloated DEI program people will simply lose their jobs under downsizing. Many will fall on hard times because with degrees in things like Gender Studies and Queer Theory, a poor work ethic and no serious skills they will not likely get hired by any non government agencies. I expect there will be a glut of Starbucks baristas, Whole Foods employees and sellers of hemp products.
Now those $25-$45 dollar books are at Dollar Tree for $1.25, and still they are overpriced.
Nothing will happen... In reality they know the IP addresses of all these searches so finding people isn’t that hard but the best I think we can hope for is they walk away from government.
You just can’t reasonably jail that many people. But you can run a shop vac through their personal finances and end their hopes of getting a government dollar forever.
COrrect. Heck I doubt if even a dozen do jail time.
