There is absolute panic in DC. Thousands are going to prison and all the taxpayer money they stole will be clawed back.
Internet search trends in the Washington, DC, metro area have been nothing short of stunning in recent weeks, reflecting what appears to be growing panic within the federal bureaucracy as President Trump and Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) root out corruption in non-governmental organizations (NGO) and federal agencies.
Earlier this week, internet search trends for "Criminal Defense Lawyer" and "RICO Laws" went viral on X, fueling speculation that Washington's political elites were in panic mode.
The searches coincided with DOGE's efforts to neuter USAID's funding of NGOs that propped up a shadow government, as well as begin cutting tens of thousands of workers from various federal agencies.

I sincerely doubt that thousands of people are going to prison. I’m not holding my breath until even on of these corrupt bureacrats is even indicted—let alone convicted by a DC jury. I’ll believe it when I see it.

One of the advantages the Department of Justice has is they can find a way to tie criminal activity to a favorable venue before they try a case....
...Unless of course the leftist criminals were clever enough to commit all of their crimes inside the city limits of the District of Columbia.
Highly doubtful IMO... There's been enough dirty money thrown around to incriminate virtually the entire lot of them, if for nothing else just looking the other way...
and all the taxpayer money they stole will be clawed back.
No flippin' way. It's all already been pissed away by criminals on the kinds of shit that criminals piss money away on after a big heist. See Goodfellas...
I want to believe that “thousands are going to prison”,but for now, I don’t believe it. That is a bet I hope to lose.
Our nation has entered a mode of protocol, that usually doesn’t punish the most guilty. Instead, someone who took a video of the offense gets doxxed and prosecuted.
Maybe the pendulum will begin to swing in the opposite direction, stopping still on equality of enforcement.
“Thousands are going to prison and all the taxpayer money they stole will be clawed back.”
When?
I seriously doubt thousands are going to prison.
I seriously doubt thousands are going to prison.
I’d be happy if a dozen people go to prison
Please ping me when that happens.
Oh horse feathers..! The politicians of DC will never be held responsible for their corruption. There are LOTS of republicans that are just crooked as the rats and they will stand shoulder to shoulder with the rats against any real cleanup in DC. (spit)
Reality's starting to hit home for DC Democrats.
What about large MSM groups that took money they shouldn’t have taken from corrupt democrat ‘benefactors’? Will they be asked to repay taxpayers?
They have been laughing all the way to the bank to deposit those pallets of taxpayer cash we sent them. Doubt they are laughing now.
I can assure mark that I am indeed taking it seriously. I am seriously very happy with the direction. For those allies that are disappointed, they’re not really allies.
I also wish to assure Mark that our adversaries are not laughing. Especially not like they have been for the last 4 years.
“I sincerely doubt that thousands of people are going to prison.”
Some irrational exuberance in the article IMO. I am also reminded of Newton’s 3rd law - every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
The left owns much of the media, educational institutions and judges. They will increasingly attempt to slow down the Trump train.
