exactamundo! the fact that no one’s proffered this obvious control data set suggests to me that this is may be normal post election turnover. until that is either disproved or confirmed i’ll hold off on the gleeful chortling. May be precious few actual sales happening for some time.
New homes in an area about to see thousands laid off. I do not see these homes selling at the market value prior to DOGE.
When the new home’s prices plunge they will be good buys for others to upgrade into, assuming they can sell their existing homes.
2.6 million bureaucrats civilians work for the federal government. 1.4 million for the military.
10% in DC. So that’s 260,000 civilians in Gov,, mostly blue.
Say 4 voters per family at most thats 1 million blue votes (and I doubt it’s 4 per family) . Plus some of those government jobs are republicans so we can assume they won’t be cut or they will move.
Maybe if they all moved to one battle ground state they might flip it.
But you got to balance that with all the massive funds lost to their party and the drop of influence where it counts such as NGOs like Rigel said in his post who live in in DC, where they influence all.
I still thinks it’s a massive net gain for us.
