ONE MILLION DOLLARS FOR THIS CRAP!!!
Taken from Wikipedia, the following quotation describes, in part, Rory Stewart, a supposed “conservative” who complained about his wife not getting US tax dollars for this abomination: “Before the 2024 United States presidential election, despite most polling suggesting the contest was extremely close, Stewart predicted that Kamala Harris would “win comfortably” against Donald Trump. [citations omitted]. After Trump’s victory became apparent, Stewart said he had been “completely wrong” and that he was “guilty of massive wishful thinking”.
Years ago, I was in Rhiyadh and will testify that women under sharia law are imprisoned behind closed doors and are not allowed to be educated. From what I am understanding, Afghanistan is again under sharia law, thanks to Joe Biden and every single democrat - certain things that woman is advocating might get Afghani women tortured and/or killed.
We have been getting 🍆 by these people. F that Brit and his wife. We need some of that money clawed back.
The Turquoise Mountain Foundation is a non-governmental organization legally established in Scotland. It takes its name from Turquoise Mountain and initially focused on the enhancement of the Afghanistan craft industry. The organization subsequently expanded its work to Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Myanmar (Burma)."Many of the Institute's graduates are Afghan women."History and activities
Turquoise Mountain was founded in 2006 by King Charles III (then the Prince of Wales) in partnership with President of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai, and British writer, academic and former politician Rory Stewart, a former Conservative member of Parliament. Stewart was chief executive of the foundation from 2005 to 2008; the current chief executive is his wife Shoshana Stewart.Among the charity's projects was the Turquoise Mountain Institute for Afghan Arts and Architecture, a school for the study of traditional Afghan calligraphy, ceramics, woodworking and jewelry-making. Many of the Institute's graduates are Afghan women. Turquoise Mountain also largely funded a major restoration project in Murad Khane, the old town of Kabul, encompassing the restoration of over 150 buildings in the neighborhood.
The group describes its mission as "to preserve and regenerate historic areas and communities with a rich cultural heritage and to revive traditional crafts, to create jobs, skills and a renewed sense of pride." Funding has been provided by a number of public and private donors from both the West and Middle East, including the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA), the Government of Afghanistan, the Government of India, the Blue Moon Fund, Reach Out To Asia, the Kathy Evans Afghan Education Trust, The Bonita Trust, The Prince's Charities, The Kingdom of Bahrain, the Amir of Kuwait, the Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation (Saudi Arabia) and the British Council.
So has anybody done a cost/benefit analysis of the money spent? What did these Afghan women get out of this program? Are they employed? Did they learn skills to become employed?
Or, most likely, did the Taliban eject them from school and force them back into their houses?
All the "work" of these NGOs makes me sick. But perhaps the very worst of the worst NGOs are those teaching people in Mexico (Mexicans and many other nationalities) how to illegally invade the USA and how to evade capture once inside the USA.
Modern art? Afghan women have other concerns. Like living in a backward, pre-civilization country where ignorance rules.
The UK has trillions of funny money to hand out in their own bank. They don’t need our crummy little inflated dollars.
“Why do the women have to be puzzled?”
A trick they learned from scientists?
We would get more benefit out of converting that $1,000,000 into singles and burning it for energy. Would be a better use.
BTTT
She said Duchamp was “very important in western art”, and she shows them Duchamp urinal sculpture.
What hot garbage.
This just illustrates how Biden was trying to harm America by doling out taxpayer dollars to any moron who would take it. The plan seems to have been to shovel as much cash out as fast as possible.
Bttt.
5.56mm
Good call wonder if Trump can demand an audit
Yes, it is the duty of the American taxpayers to expose Muslim women to urinals. How else are they going to learn?
LOLOLOLOL!!! This loser has been whining about people not buying the Establishment’s BS and trying to now suddenly claim the Nazis were Populists for some time.
Well surprise surprise. Turns out wifey was getting a big fat wad of cash from the corrupt Establishment.
“modern art like Duchamp’s urinal” funds literally going down the crapper.
NGO’s or Non-Governmental Organizations are actually Governmental Organizations.
“This limey scumbag’s WIFE is getting OUR tax dollars to who Afghan women ‘culture’”
No way in hell was this money going to that effort. It “circled back” to the pockets of people we elect to work i the Capitol.
Exactly right. It’s a way for leftist government to use subterfuge to fund their favorite leftist causes around the world. There’s zero functional difference between NGOs and Government.
