A few years back while driving through Eastern Washington wheat country, the traffic came to a stop. There was a bull moose grazing his way towards the wooded stream. It was several hundred yards away. Everyone had got out of their cars to take pictures and so did I. But I was standing next to some moron who looked over to me and said lets go get closer.
I told him hell no, those things will charge you and can kill you.
If your lucky, they will only bite your sister!
My wife and I came back from a hike around Kintla Lake in NorthWest Glacier to find a moose in camp on the opposite side of our car. That moose wanted to get at us, but we kept the car between him and us. After about 5 minutes of that footsie we had an opportunity to rush the car doors and get in.
Moose are very dangerous.
