I don’t blame Reagan so much. He had a Democrat Controlled House that was never going to go along with what he wanted while Trump has a thin Republican majority - but a majority still. Reagan also had to sacrifice some things to get the massive rebuild of the military and tax cuts. Trump doesn’t have to so he is more free to pursue Conservative/Populist objectives....but credit to him for actually doing it - unlike all the Bushite RINOs in between Ronaldus Magnus and The Magnificent Orange Bastard.
Why Reagan seldom vetoed any spending bills? That is not a sign of true conservative.
