The students attend Patch Middle School in Stuttgart, Germany, and peacefully walked out of class for nearly an hour, according to three people familiar with the matter and a letter sent to parents by a school administrator. Separately, a small group of adults dressed in civilian clothing — likely parents — gathered outside at Stuttgart and protested within view and earshot of Hegseth’s delegation, booing and chanting “DEI!”, according to video recorded by a reporter traveling with the secretary.
The protests were in response to President Donald Trump’s string of executive orders targeting diversity efforts throughout the U.S. government, directives Hegseth has carried out enthusiastically. Since he took over the Pentagon, Black History Month celebrations and other similar events have been banned and access to select books in Defense Department schools attended by the children of U.S. service members have been restricted. Those moves have drawn criticism from parents and students alike.

The student said that she and other students decided to act after seeing how Trump’s executive orders would target diversity events, including a drama club performance that celebrated Black History Month with Motown songs. Many involved in the protest, she said, also were concerned with how the Trump administration’s directives would affect people in the LGBTQ+ community.

All this “protest” does is prove the wisdom of doing away with DEI indoctrination in schools. It turns the kids brains into mush.
Middle school kids can’t so much as go outside without being taken there by the teachers. Radical left and gay teachers using the kids, rather than teaching them.
If they support the racism and hatred of DEI, they are being molded into little brownshirts.
Middle schoolers are a different breed and will do anything to get out of class or organized events. It is doubtful that they cared about the protest topic.

I went to those AFES schools in the early 60’s. We had a good time when Europe was europe. Now, no desire to venture into ever declining EUtopia.
Expel the little bastards and boot their parent or parents out of the military.
So now you even have to homeschool in the military. Wow.
Clear those “teachers” out of the indoctrination center. Also have the base commander call in all of those students parents and have them answer for their kids behavior.
These are military members children. How far have we fallen!?
The teachers in the American schools overseas are the same teachers as schools Stateside. I spent 7 years in Air Force Base schools. Seventeen times in one year there were bomb threats called in. Once they found out which kid was doing it, he and his entire family were gone. In this case we will hear all about the protest but what happens in the next couple of days we will never know unless told by those affected.
This is the Secretary of Defense. The disrespect cannot be tolerated. If teachers were involved they will not be able to remain anonymous. Once people know a predator is in their midst they will out said predator. When they find out who the student ringleaders were their parents might resort to child abuse after they get reamed by their commanders. I would not want to be any of those people.

In my day we called it a whipping. Today they call it child abuse.
