“I know that this sounds wrong...”
not just sounds wrong, but is wrong.
People trying to live beyond their means or who don’t want to pay a decent wage to a US Citizen for their work because they want to pay illegal cheaper may not be against state or community law, but if nothing else its a sin, against the community (costing them more in some ways, maybe bringing crime, illness) and likely in some way sin against God (greed, selfishness, or some thing)
Maybe don't hire illegals...
Every one of them had the opportunity to go through the process of naturalization, but chose not to.
Some time ago, I looked up what it takes to go through naturalization. The first rule is that has to be legally a resident in the country before going on with the next steps. That usually means a visa (like H1B) or green card.
One reason I think that Dreamers get the short end of the stick is that they are brought into the country, go through the US school system, and still face deportation because they are not a legal resident even though they have an American education. But, Congress doesn't think so. Sigh.
Yup. Totally right. The title is accurate. Rich, Entitled. They left out (but its implied)...cheap, selfish, hypocritical, ...sounds a lot the character qualities that define a liberal democrat slave owner from the 1800’s. I retract my question. Thank you.
no reason to believe the nannies aren’t proficient, but there’s no justification for exploiting illegal labor
doubtful any of the complainers would sponsor a legal immigration effort for their beloved nannies
Your take on “Dreamers” (what a horrible name, especially given they supposedly weren’t the ones acting on a “dream”, their illegal parents were) creates one of the worst incentives out there.
There is no such thing as “Dreamer” protection in virtually any other country on the planet. Say, for example, an American businessman or diplomat father works abroad for years, raising his family there. It is always understood that when his time working there ends, both he and his family need to return home again.
Anyone remember Zoe Baird, Bubba’s failed attorney general nominee who hired an illegal and didn’t pay SS taxes?
Subtitle: Will probably have to pay "living wages" and won't be able to discipline unruly nannies, landscapers by threating to "call ICE on their asses"

Modern slavery, entitled slave masters.
It’s herd to be sympathetic for these folks. Even if they are an illegal alien once they decide to stay in the USA they should have started their naturalization process. Even if it takes several years they would not have to be concerned about deportation.
Same for ‘dreamers’. As soon as they discovered they were not born here, they should have started an application for citizenship. Since the left would have us believe that every ‘dreamer’ is either a doctor, physicist, rocket scientist, etc and losing that knowledge to a third world country would be tragic.
Hey, do you really expect the homeowners of this town to mow their lawn, make dinner, do the laundry, clean the house, drop off the kids at soccer?
Their parents are doing much more important things like getting their nails done, their roots dyed, spin classes and saving the piping plovers.
Their father’s are busy in the city trading and having affairs with their secretary.
Come on man
Thing is, when you’re as rich these f-—ks, you don’t even really feel like an “american” like most of us do — they have more affinity for their buddies all over the world.
One thing that needs to need to happen is that any military or civil government position being run or staffed by a foreigner needs to have a du soleil citizen do that job. The network of cosmopolitan elites needs to have radical transparency.
‘It’s really hard for me when my 10-year-old daughter asked me, “Mom, are you legal?” Daniela Rivas said
Why is it really hard Daniela?
It’s nice that they self identify; it makes things easier for Homan to plug that town into his agents’ GPS systems.
Reminds me of the fact that few Americans are hired to work on cruise ships even though so many sail from US ports.
Humm I wonder why😎
I have known several people over the years who have hired workers with a green card to legally work in US- then they have helped that employee through the process to become citizens. The legal way.
If the people in this article need and care for their employees so much why didn’t they do it the right way?
Same reason almost no cruise ships sail under the U.S. flag.
Money.
