Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are reuniting for one last time, to play a fund-raising concert in Birmingham on 5 July.
The heavy metal pioneers will headline a spectacular one-day festival at Villa Park, featuring dozens of bands they inspired, including Metallica, Pantera, Slayer, Gojira and Anthrax.
The concert will mark the first time that Black Sabbath's original line-up - Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward - have played together in 20 years.
Osbourne, who has largely been forced to stop touring due to a combination of Parkinson's and spinal injuries, will play a short solo set before joining his bandmates.
His wife, Sharon, told BBC News he was determined to put on one final show.
"He's doing great. He's doing really great," she said. "He's so excited about this, about being with the guys again and all his friends. It's exciting for everyone."
However, she said the concert would definitively be the 76-year-old's final show.
"Ozzy didn't have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels there's no been no full stop.
"This is his full stop."

I guess he is not Iron Man.

Tony Iommi has continued to manage his health through regular medical check-ups and treatments, as indicated by his ongoing monitoring and treatments since his diagnosis.
Amazing one more time !
Funny that you used the name Bob. Do we know each other? 🤣
You too huh. 🤣
Osbourne was fired from Black Sabbath in 1979 due to alcohol and drug problems. He then began a successful solo career with Blizzard of Ozz in 1980 and has released 13 studio albums, the first seven of which received multi-platinum certifications in the US. He has since reunited with Black Sabbath on several occasions. He rejoined in 1997 and helped record the group’s final studio album, 13 (2013), before they embarked on a farewell tour that ended with a 2017 performance in their native Birmingham. His longevity and success have earned him the informal title of the “Godfather of Metal”.
Those first six Sabbath albums are pretty perfect.

I saw him bite the head off of a bat in The Cotton Bowl around 1980. Maybe it was staged.
Damn, you saw them at their absolute peak. When Ozzy could easily sing their latest album. Cheers.
Yep. Perfect.
As famous as they are...they are underrated.
They burned the house down.
Completely outclassed Yes...even with Rick Wakeman.
Back then, could you have ever imagined they would be playing a gig in 2025?
LOL
I thought 2025 was so far into the future that I’d be dead.
Eddie Van Halen said that was the most perfect rock riff he ever heard.
And it’s only three notes.
“Hand of Doom” is heavier in mood and lyrics. Better recorded, too (at least on the original release.)
Not a real person - Tony Stark.
The original CD release of that album (”Paranoid”), and in particular “Ironman” is a truly excellent recording. YouTube doesn’t remotely do it justice.
Ok, granted that to “do it justice” you are gonna need a stereo system in the $5k range at least, based around some GOOD high output speakers. For real fun, I’ve tried it with a JL Audio F113 subwoofer and my own design tower “satellites” (dual 6-1/2” 3-ways with top notch Vifa drivers). Those drum rolls of Bill Ward’s are something else! Still, I’m tempted to scale up someday to a design with either 4x 6-1/2” on each side, or at least dual 8” on each side, and maybe do something more with subs, too — cost being a prohibitive factor to actually own if JL subs, though... :-)
And completely panned by the most “important” critics of the time. And now so many great new bands are taking inspiration from those Sabbath albums that came out when they weren’t even born yet. My stupid phone’s start screen is VOL 4.
