WASHINGTON (AP) — Donald Trump is going to the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday, the first sitting president to do so.

The U.S. Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting the president, said in a statement Tuesday that it has had staff on the ground for days preparing for his visit. Trump will watch the Kansas City Chiefs take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

“Extensive planning and coordination have been in place to ensure the safety of all attendees, players, and staff,” Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said in a statement. “Security measures have been further enhanced this year, given that this will be the first time a sitting President of the United States will attend the event.”

I’ll bet he’ll get up and walk out if someone tries some half time political / woke type nonsense stunt like that dyke at the cathedral.

it’s a realistic scenario

Oh Good Lord.

I’m suddenly reminded of that movie and book “Black Sunday”.

These days, drones are the issue, not blimps. Still, I hope the Secret Service brings their absolute “A” game. Everyone just KNOWS there are already crazies making plans.

The Superdome is fully enclosed and, although it first opened in 1975, it was repeatedly repaired, renovated, and modernized over the years. It is hard to imagine a safer sports venue for Trump.

(It will be like an emperor walking into the Colosseum.)

And the once named Louisiana Superdome is now called the Caesars Superdome. How fitting!

Despite having gained great wisdom about the ruthlessness and corruption of the Deep State, President Trump has a tendency to make appearances in pop culture, perhaps stemming from his boomer background or by spending most of his life in New York City, the media capital of America. He spent several decades as a popular media figure before entering politics. Trump has a normalcy bias that is difficult for him to shake, which is why he was at the cathedral listening to a harangue by a female "bishop".

President Trump accomplishes nothing by being at the Super Bowl and exposes himself to insults or risk of a terrorist attack.

they shouldn’t announce these trips so far in advance, that increases the security risk

If he takes these few hours off from re-working the federal government, the swamp creatures may finally get a chance to catch their breath … they should cheer every distraction from their imminent destruction … and call for more.
