Especially if your the one shooting the video from inside the jet. 😱
This actually happened to me.
Was flying back to the US from a installation job in Germany for my company.
Had a connection in Zurich, Switzerland to Atlanta, Delta of course.
We were waiting on the tarmac in line with a buch of other A/C waiting our turn for takeoff.
Captain came on the intercom and said that the A/C behind us had reported to the tower that smoke was coming from our port (left) engine.
All other A/C were then routed around us until we were by ourselves and the fire crews came and foamed down the entire A/C. It was like being in a gigantic carwash.
They sent buses to pick us all up as we were maybe a mile from the airport terminal and as we deplaned we could see and smell a steady stream of fuel pouring out of the left wing. All they had was a blue 55 gallon plastic drum under it to try and catch as much as they could.
We learned later that it was a fuel hose that had busted.
We had to be put up in a hotel in Zurich for the night which was very cool, as I got to see some of the city that evening.................
