Your talking about the 419 eater. The church of loaves and fishes.
It has since closed.
We get calls from “Medicare Services,” but they use spoofing location software so that caller ID tells me it’s someone calling from some location in the USA, usually a small town. Occasionally, the ID has a person’s name.
We have for a long time just not answered, but, a few months ago, I took to arguing with them, telling them I am not fooled by their scam, and telling them not to call again.
This week, I have started a new tactic. Have only had the opportunity to use it once. I blew a whistle into the phone. The female at the other end said, “What is that? What are you doing?” After 3 of my tweets she hung up.
There have also been people taken by scammers posing as relatives in trouble. I have heard of 2 elderly people in my small town who were taken for a lot of money this way. No greed on their part.
No but many of the scammers tell the marks “Don’t tell my parents”. It plays to their desire to be the “hero” over the parents.
Do they reveal their location? I kind of doubt it…
IS THE THE SOURCE OF ALL THOSE “GRANDMA-I AM IN JAIL” CALLS I GET???

I do not share your cynicism.
I see by the photo above that they have the latest computers.
Imagine the smells from people there.
