She was on a check-ride. The other pilot was a pilot-instructor. She obviously failed.

Does the Fox news writer know that the side-by-side seating is opposite of airplanes and helo?

Airplane: left seat pilot, right seat co-pilot
Helo: left seat co-pilot, right seat pilot

My concern is did the window pillars in the helo perfectly block the view as the two aircraft converged.

Truckers have to move their heads to see around the big mirrors when approaching an intersection in case a vehicle is running a traffic light.
